Pudupatti is a panchayat village in Thanjavur district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It comprises Maathuraarpudukottai, Muthandipatti, Aarampoondaanpatti and Chinnamuthandipatti villages in its Panchayat. It is located between Sengipatti and Budalur on Poondimadha basilica main road.The peoples main occupation is agriculture. Paddy, Groundnut, Gingelly, Sunflower, Sugarcane are the main cultivation. In the last century it belongs to Koonampatti jameen. In the ancient period it was ruled by Cholas. There are so many temples around this village which are built by cholas. Uiyakondaeswara Temple and Agneeswara Temple are the replica of Pragadeeswara temple built by cholas are sisuated 2 km away from this village.

The Malaysian minister Mr.Datho Saamivel born in Aavaramapatti village 0.5 km away from this village. Now this village belong to Tiruvaiyaaru constituency and Thanjavur district.
